Egypt Warns Against Forced Palestinian Displacement, Demands Israeli Action on Gaza

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Egypt‘s Foreign Minister, Badr Abdel Ati, stated in an interview with Al Jazeera that Egypt has not yet observed any positive stance from the Israeli regime concerning the implementation of the second phase of Donald Trump’s plan in Gaza. He added that Palestinian factions have adopted a responsible position on the handover of weapons, which is commendable. The Egyptian Foreign Minister also indicated that Cairo is awaiting positive action from the Israeli regime regarding the deployment of international stabilization forces in the Gaza Strip. Abdel Ati had previously emphasized the necessity of advancing the subsequent stages of the Gaza agreement and creating conditions for the deployment of international forces in the strip.

Meanwhile, the Committee for Resistance against the Wall and Settlements revealed that the authorities of the occupying regime of Jerusalem have issued a new tender for the construction of 400 housing units in the “Karnei Shomron” settlement, which has been built on the lands of Palestinian citizens east of Qalqilya. The organization emphasized in a statement released on Thursday that this tender is part of the construction of multi-unit settlements and falls within the framework of tenders that the Israeli authorities continue to issue to expand existing settlements and increase their absorption capacity. The deadline for participation in the tender has been set for November 23, 2026. According to the statement, the issuance of this tender signifies a transition from the planning phase to the marketing and implementation phase, occurring within the context of accelerating settlement construction in the West Bank throughout the current year. Another part of the statement highlighted that the “Karnei Shomron” settlement gains greater significance due to its location within a settlement bloc in the northwestern West Bank settlement plan.
