Putin: Duma Elections Validate Executive and Legislative Authority

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday expressed his gratitude to Ella Pamfilova, the head of the country’s Central Election Commission, and her staff for the successful conduct of the Duma elections.

Putin emphasized that the elections were organized at the highest legal standards and affirmed the legitimacy of all governmental and legislative bodies.

Pamfilova, in turn, reported that Russia upheld the principles of free and transparent elections. She highlighted an unprecedented voter turnout of 59.8% in the recent Duma elections and noted the registration of over 14.7 million cyber threats during the voting period.

She also stated that for the first time, 46 individuals who participated in the special military operation were elected to the Duma. Pamfilova added that representatives from approximately 22 European countries attended the elections as international observers.
