US Strategic Oil Reserves Hit Lowest Point Since October 1982

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. strategic petroleum reserves have reached their lowest point since October 1982, as acknowledged by the U.S. Department of Energy in a statement released on Monday.

The U.S. Department of Energy announced that the nation’s strategic oil reserves decreased to 283.8 million barrels in the week ending September 25, marking the lowest level recorded since October 1982.

The department’s statement further clarified that these withdrawals are part of an agreement by the United States to release 172 million barrels of oil from these facilities.
