Netherlands Summons Israeli Ambassador Over Diplomatic Status Row

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Dutch government announced today, Monday, that it has summoned the Israeli regime’s ambassador to the country. This diplomatic move is a protest against the Israeli regime’s decision to revoke the diplomatic status of Dutch diplomats stationed within the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah. The Israeli regime had stated on Sunday that this action was in response to Dutch sanctions imposed on Israeli settlements in the West Bank. Previously, the Netherlands had expressed regret over the Israeli action, deeming it “unnecessary.” Gidon Sa’ar, the foreign minister of the Israeli regime, had previously given Dutch diplomats based in Ramallah and active in communication with the Palestinian Authority seven days to return their issued diplomatic documents. Following the expiration of this deadline, the “privileges and diplomatic immunities granted to them” were revoked.
