“Mohammed Yunus Akhundzadeh”, Minister of Rural Development and Rehabilitation of the Taliban government, announced that the “Wakhan” road will be connected to China by the first two months of 1403 AH.
Akhandzadeh emphasized in a press conference that the efforts to connect the Wakhan road to China are going on around the clock and the cost of this project is 369 million Afghanis.
He added: “Not long ago, the Taliban leadership ordered the Ministry of Public Works to build this road from Badakhshan to to fundamentally reconstruct the Chinese border, which is 470 kilometers long, and its work will begin soon; But the task of the Ministry of Rural Development is to reconstruct this road until the Chinese border as a blockade and dirt.
The Minister of Rural Development and Rehabilitation of the Taliban considered the connection road to China very important and emphasized that with the use of the Wakhan road, a big change will come in the growth and economy of Afghanistan.
