The Commissioner of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees, while criticizing the lack of aid to Gaza, said that “our requests to send food aid to northern Gaza were rejected and there was no hearing.”
“Philippe Lazzarini”, the Commissioner of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA), criticized the lack of cooperation of Western countries in sending aid to Gaza.
The Al Jazeera news network reported, quoting Lazzarini, that the last time we were able to send food aid to the north of the Gaza Strip was last February 23.
He stated that if there is a real political will, it is still possible to prevent the occurrence of famine in Gaza.
Lazzarini had previously said that Israel intends to destroy this organization and negate the idea that Palestinians are refugees and have the right to return to their homes one day.
This UNRWA official accused the Zionist regime of having a “long-term political goal” to destroy UNRWA.
While UNRWA was established 70 years ago to help Palestinians who were displaced from their homes and forced to leave their homes during the 1948 West Asia war.
Lazzarini, who has been working as UNRWA’s Commissioner General since 2020, concluded by saying: Israel apparently believes that if UNRWA is canceled, the situation of Palestinian refugees will be solved once and for all.
This afternoon, the Gaza Ministry of Health said in a statement that it published on the 142nd day of the Gaza war: The Israeli army has carried out 7 mass killings in the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours, followed by 86 Palestinians have been martyred and 131 others have been injured.
This ministry added that there are still a large number of martyrs under the rubble and in the streets, which the Israeli military does not allow to transfer them to the relief forces.
According to this report, the number of Palestinian martyrs has increased to 29,692 and the number of injured has reached 69,879.
The Israeli army has launched devastating attacks on the Gaza Strip since the 7th of October (15th of Mehr), as a result of which, many infrastructures in this area, including medical and educational infrastructures and places of worship, have been destroyed.
