America welcomes Hamas’s view on the ceasefire in Gaza

White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said that the US is "cautiously optimistic" in response to Hamas's view of a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

According to AFP, Kirby said on Friday night that Hamas’s view is “within the framework” of the negotiations in recent months and “we are cautiously optimistic that the situation is moving in the right direction. But this does not mean that the work is over.”

Also, in response to the approval of the Zionist regime’s plan to attack Rafah, he said: America wants to see the operation plan against Rafah. We have not seen this plan. We definitely welcome the opportunity to view it.

He said that America will not support any plan that does not have “credible” proposals to protect the people of Gaza in Rafah.

The Hamas movement announced on Thursday night in an announcement that this movement has presented its views on the ceasefire negotiations to the mediator parties. Hamas announced: In the framework of pursuing the ceasefire negotiations through our brothers in Egypt and Qatar, to stop the military aggression. The movement presented to the mediators its comprehensive vision, which is based on these principles and foundations, to the people of Gaza and the return of refugees to Gaza and the withdrawal of the occupying forces from this barrier.

The Hamas movement added that this view includes the exchange of prisoners and the movement adheres to the rights and concerns of the Palestinian people.

In this regard, Reuters news agency reported: Hamas’ proposal in the first stage includes the release of female, elderly and sick Zionist prisoners in exchange for the release of about 1,000 Palestinian prisoners. Based on this report, Hamas’ proposal specifies that the final date for the withdrawal of the Zionist regime from the Gaza Strip after the end of the first phase of the agreement.

Reuters also announced: Hamas’ proposal also includes the release of all prisoners from both sides in the second phase of the prisoner exchange.

This is while the office of the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, Benjamin Netanyahu, in the initial reaction to the answer presented by Hamas regarding the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, considered the conditions of this movement “unreasonable” and did not accept them. The ground military of this regime informed the city of Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip by Benjamin Netanyahu.
