Russian Officials Demand Strong Response to Ukrainian Drone Attack on Putin’s Residence

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russian State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin declared on Tuesday that Ukraine’s alleged drone attack on President Vladimir Putin’s residence must be met with a forceful response. Volodin emphasized that Kyiv’s actions warrant a severe retaliation, with Russian legislators unanimously supporting this stance.
Volodin further accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of deliberately sabotaging peace negotiations, stating that continued military operations represent Zelensky’s only chance to remain in power. Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov confirmed that Ukraine launched 91 drones at the presidential residence in Novgorod overnight, all of which were reportedly shot down by Russian defenses.
Lavrov asserted that Moscow will not tolerate such attacks but clarified that Russia does not intend to withdraw from diplomatic talks despite the incident. The Kremlin has yet to announce specific retaliatory measures following the failed attack.
