Russian Air Defenses Neutralize 69 Ukrainian Drones

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced in a statement that the country’s air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed 69 Ukrainian drones over the past 24 hours across different parts of the Russian Federation. These drones were launched with the aim of attacking various targets within Russian territory but were intercepted and neutralized by Russian army air defenses before reaching their objectives. Regions such as Moscow, the Russian capital, and areas near the Black Sea were among the locations targeted in these attacks.
Meanwhile, the third round of Ukraine peace negotiations was held trilaterally with the participation of representatives from the Russian Federation, Ukraine, and the United States of America in Geneva, the capital of Switzerland. Despite several rounds of talks between the parties, the war and conflict between Russia and Ukraine continue.
Territorial disputes remain the most significant obstacle to reaching an agreement and concluding negotiations between the two sides. Both the Russian Federation and Ukraine are striving to gain the initiative on both the battlefield and in negotiations by preserving and expanding the territories they control.
Earlier, Matthew Whitaker, the Permanent Representative of the United States to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), stated that Washington expects territorial dispute issues to be resolved in the coming days and weeks. He also added that participants in the negotiation process for resolving the Ukraine crisis are currently working on four final documents. These documents include a 20-point peace plan, a set of multilateral security guarantees, specific U.S. security guarantees, and a plan for economic growth and prosperity after peace is established.
