Pakistan PM Shahbaz Sharif Hails Iran-US Deal as Victory for Diplomacy Over War

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif announced that the understanding between the United States and Iran is a victory for peace and diplomacy, and that Pakistan will host its signing ceremony in Geneva on Friday. Sharif stated that the agreement is a historic achievement for global peace and a triumph for dialogue over the repercussions of war.
Earlier, a spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs addressed the Israeli attack on Lebanon following the understanding between Iran and the US. The spokesperson noted that the regime committed crimes in Lebanon concurrently with intensified efforts to reach an understanding, extending condolences to the Sharif family, a senior commander of Hezbollah Lebanon, and the people of Lebanon. The statement asserted that future generations will see that Iran did not allow the regime to disrupt its focus on securing the supreme interests of Iran and Lebanon, and that this crime ultimately strengthened the resistance front against the Zionist regime. The end of the war in Lebanon was deemed an inseparable part of the understanding to end hostilities. Iran remains determined, with the ceasefire in Lebanon being a component of the April 8 ceasefire. Consequently, developments will be closely monitored, and all available tools will be employed to achieve Iran’s objectives. Gratitude was extended to Pakistan and Qatar, as well as Oman for its principled stances throughout the process. The location for signing any understanding requires the consensus of all parties involved, and the collective opinion of all participating relevant parties was for the event to take place in Switzerland.
