Pakistan Witnesses Surge in Iranian Rial Purchases Following US Deal

In the four days following a peace agreement between Iran and the United States, Pakistan has seen a significant increase in the purchase of Iranian currency, with transactions totaling two trillion Iranian rials as demand and prices continue to rise.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Pakistani media reports indicate a rapid acceleration in the acquisition of Iranian currency by Pakistani citizens. In the four days subsequent to the peace accord between Iran and the United States, a total of two trillion Iranian rials have been purchased across Pakistan, with ongoing growth in demand and value for the rial.

Pakistani media outlets further reported that Malik Bostan, head of the Pakistan Exchange Companies Association, stated that on the first day after the Iran-US agreement, Iranian rials worth forty billion Pakistani rupees were purchased. This surge in activity underscores a growing belief among Pakistanis that the Iranian rial is poised for appreciation, driving their current investment in the currency.
