Trump Pledges US Automakers Will Produce Weapons

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, President Donald Trump stated in remarks to reporters at the White House that the United States is establishing various factories across the country and is in discussions with companies like General Motors and Ford regarding armament production. Trump specifically noted that General Motors has expressed interest in manufacturing weapons. The administration plans to produce weapons, including Patriot and Tomahawk systems, and other military equipment.
Trump added that he is scheduled to hold a meeting with representatives from the largest arms manufacturers in the United States on June 24 to discuss increasing military production. He indicated that some automotive companies are prepared to sign agreements for the production of missiles, particularly Patriot systems, if they possess surplus manufacturing capacity. The objective is to ensure a substantial and consistent supply of these munitions.
It is noted that the United States’ ammunition and weapons stockpiles experienced significant depletion during its conflict with Iran, particularly concerning the highly expensive Patriot missiles, of which only a limited number are produced annually.
