Russia Claims Downing 269 Ukrainian Drones Overnight

Russia’s Ministry of Defense reported the interception and destruction of 269 Ukrainian drones across multiple Russian regions and the Black Sea overnight. Ukrainian forces also reportedly targeted a fuel depot in Dnipropetrovsk, while attacks in Crimea resulted in civilian casualties.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia‘s air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed 269 Ukrainian drones over the past night. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced that these drone incursions were thwarted over the regions of Belgorod, Bryansk, Volgograd, Kaluga, Kursk, Oryol, Saratov, Smolensk, Rostov, Tula, the Krasnodar Krai, the Moscow region, the Republic of Crimea, and the Black Sea.

In a separate development, the Russian armed forces reportedly utilized drones to strike a fuel and lubricant depot in the Dnipropetrovsk region. This facility was being used by the Ukrainian armed forces for logistical support, according to the Ministry of Defense.

Meanwhile, Sergei Aksyonov, the head of the Republic of Crimea, stated that two individuals, including a child, lost their lives, and two others sustained injuries as a result of attacks by the Ukrainian armed forces in Crimea.
