Qatar and U.S. Officials Discuss Iran and Lebanon Ceasefire

Doha and Washington representatives have held discussions concerning regional developments, a ceasefire in Lebanon, and ongoing negotiation processes, with Qatar reaffirming its mediation efforts.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Qatar‘s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs engaged in talks with Steve Witcoff and Jared Kushner regarding regional developments, a ceasefire in Lebanon, and the progress of negotiations.

A statement released by the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated that Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar, reviewed the latest regional developments and the issue of a ceasefire in Lebanon during his meeting with Witcoff and Kushner.

During the meeting, the Qatari Prime Minister emphasized Doha’s ongoing mediation efforts aimed at achieving a comprehensive solution that would foster regional security and stability.

The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs also announced that Witcoff and Kushner expressed appreciation for Doha’s role in collaborating with Pakistan to facilitate negotiation processes with Iran. They underscored Washington’s commitment to the diplomatic path and its support for endeavors to reach a comprehensive agreement.
