Walid Jumblatt Declares Peace with Israel Impossible, Criticizes Beirut-Tel Aviv Framework Agreement

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Walid Jumblatt, a leading Druze figure and former chief of the Progressive Socialist Party in Lebanon, has once again voiced his opposition to the Washington-brokered agreement between Beirut and Tel Aviv, characterizing it as an imposed dictate. Speaking on Tuesday, Jumblatt addressed the framework agreement, which many have deemed humiliating, stating, “The framework agreement is unilateral, imposed by Israel on a Lebanese negotiating team, both domestically and externally.” He further emphasized, “Peace with Israel is impossible.” Jumblatt asserted that the treaty is a dictate with no Israeli withdrawal in sight. He also urged the Lebanese government to facilitate settlement possibilities in southern Lebanon.
