According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), announced that the agency is monitoring the situation at Iran’s Bushehr nuclear power plant and has called for restraint from all involved parties. The statement comes amid ongoing global geopolitical tensions.

In an interview with RIA Novosti, Grossi also addressed the security situation at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in Ukraine, describing it as highly sensitive. He indicated that the IAEA is prepared to offer proposals for practical measures to resolve key issues at the Zaporizhzhia facility, including its power supply.

Grossi emphasized that any attack on a nuclear power plant, including Zaporizhzhia and Kursk, is unacceptable. He affirmed that the IAEA is dedicating its full efforts to ensuring the safety of nuclear power plant personnel.

The IAEA Director General, who has faced accusations of adopting a dual policy regarding Iran’s nuclear program and failing to condemn attacks by the United States and the Zionist regime on nuclear facilities of an NPT member state, asserted that agency experts are not merely observing. He stated that they are actively working to mitigate any risks and challenges.
