First Group of Rosatom Staff Returns to Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant

The first contingent of six Rosatom employees has begun their return to Iran’s Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant, following a temporary halt in operations due to recent U.S. actions against the country. Decisions on further personnel returns will be made in the coming hours.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Rosatom Director General Alexey Likhachev announced that the initial group of six Rosatom staff members has commenced their return to the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant in Iran. Likhachev stated that Russian officials in Tehran had suspended their activities following attacks by the United States on Iran. He emphasized that while aerial attacks occurred in the Bushehr province, the nuclear power plant itself was not targeted. The head of Rosatom indicated that the company will make further decisions regarding the continuation of its employees’ return to the Bushehr facility within the next few hours.
