According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a maritime incident involving a tanker has been reported near Oman. Data published by the Mehr News Agency, citing Al Jazeera, indicates that the UK’s Maritime Trade Operations reported a missile attack against a tanker traversing the southern Strait of Hormuz.

The UKMTO added that the incident took place 13 nautical miles from the city of Liwa in Oman. The report underscores the volatile security situation in this critical shipping lane.
