Trump Urges Netanyahu to Withdraw Forces from Syria and Lebanon

U.S. President Donald Trump has reportedly asked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to begin withdrawing Israeli forces from Syria and reduce the military presence in Lebanon.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, based on data published by Mehr News Agency quoting Axios, U.S. President Donald Trump, in a recent phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, requested the commencement of the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Syria and a reduction in the regime’s military presence in Lebanon.

According to the report, Trump informed Netanyahu during a phone conversation last Thursday that Israel should initiate the process of redeploying its forces outside of Syria and undertake a similar action in Lebanon.

Axios further wrote that despite this request, it is unlikely that Netanyahu will take significant steps to withdraw Israeli forces from occupied areas in Syria or further reduce the regime’s military presence in Lebanon, especially on the eve of crucial upcoming elections that will impact his political future and legal cases.

The report stated that the Israeli regime’s army continues to occupy parts of southern Syria and southern Lebanon, with Tel Aviv claiming this presence is necessary to prevent a recurrence of attacks similar to the October 7th operation.
