Iraq Demands Withdrawal of Foreign Forces, Cites Strategic Importance

Baghdad has asserted that there is no longer any justification for the presence of foreign troops on its soil, emphasizing the nation’s strategic weight and economic challenges.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Iraq‘s government spokesperson, Haider Al-Awadi, stated that there is no valid reason for foreign forces to remain in the country. Al-Awadi highlighted that the meeting between Ali Al-Zaidi and President Donald Trump underscores Iraq’s strategic significance. He further pointed out that the Iraqi economy currently faces significant challenges, implying that these economic hurdles are a primary concern for the government. Al-Awadi reiterated that with the current conditions, there is no longer a need for the presence of international forces in Iraq.
