Lavrov and UAE Foreign Minister Discuss Persian Gulf Situation

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Saturday that Sergey Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister, had consultations with Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.

A statement released by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated that during their phone conversation, the two sides discussed the situation in the Persian Gulf, as well as regional developments.

During the discussion, Lavrov and his Emirati counterpart emphasized the necessity of maintaining safe navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, the importance of halting military operations in the Persian Gulf, and the swift resumption of negotiations (between Tehran and Washington).
