Yemen’s Armed Forces Confirm Attack on Two Saudi Oil Tankers in Red Sea
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Yemeni Armed Forces have confirmed an operation that struck two Saudi oil tankers, the ENCELIA and the LAYLA, in the Red Sea. This confirmation was issued by Yahya Saree, the spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, citing data published by Mehr News Agency via Al-Masirah network.
The statement from the Yemeni Armed Forces indicated that these two tankers were targeted for allegedly violating a decision imposing a travel ban in the Red Sea.
The spokesperson further announced that the operation utilized several ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones. Precise hits on the targets resulted in fires breaking out on both oil tankers.
The statement also noted that approximately 10 other vessels were compelled to retreat and turn back during the course of this operation.
The spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces emphasized that naval operations against Saudi Arabia, aimed at implementing the “siege for siege” equation, will continue.
Saree concluded by issuing a warning that any action or attack by Saudi Arabia against Yemen would be met with extensive operations deep within Saudi territory.
