US Secretary of State Rubio Claims Iran Not Ready for Agreement Amidst Ongoing Tensions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has claimed that Iran does not appear to be ready for an agreement. These statements, released by Mehr News Agency quoting Al Jazeera, echo previous assertions made by U.S. officials and diverge from the stance of the U.S. Department of War.

Rubio stated a desire to witness the conclusion of the war, which he described as an aggression against Iran. In an effort to de-escalate tensions within the United States stemming from the costly repercussions of the intervention in Iran, the U.S. Secretary of State put forth a baseless and deceptive claim. He alleged that Iran, directly or indirectly, seeks consultations and is pursuing an agreement with the U.S. Rubio further contended that Iran has once again drawn the Houthis, referred to as Yemenis, into the conflict, expressing hope that the Houthis would cease their attacks.

Without acknowledging his country’s alleged violations of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding between Tehran and Washington, Rubio maintained his assertion that Iran is not prepared to finalize an agreement and will bear the consequences. He added that the cost incurred by Iran will escalate each night until they reconsider their position.

Regarding the conflict in Ukraine, Marco Rubio also claimed that the U.S. is prepared to play a constructive role in bringing the war to an end.
