Russia Affirms Iran and Saudi Arabia’s Right to Peaceful Nuclear Energy

The Kremlin has declared that Iran, Saudi Arabia, and other nations possess the right to develop peaceful nuclear energy, underscoring Moscow’s commitment to non-proliferation while continuing dialogue on the Ukraine crisis.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the spokesperson for the Russian Presidential Office (Kremlin), Dmitry Peskov, announced in a statement on Thursday that Iran, Saudi Arabia, and other countries should be entitled to the right to develop peaceful nuclear energy. Moscow’s stance on nuclear non-proliferation is well-established.

The statement issued by the spokesperson for the Russian Presidential Office regarding this matter indicated that Russia is continuing dialogue with the United States through working channels concerning the resolution of the Ukraine crisis. Russian officials expressed hope that American negotiators could travel to Moscow to continue face-to-face discussions on settling the Ukraine crisis, reiterating Russia’s continued readiness for negotiations on Ukraine.

Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia is proceeding with its special military operation in circumstances where Europeans are inciting Kyiv to prolong conflicts. While contacts regarding the resolution of the Ukraine issue are ongoing, there are currently no discussions about accelerating this process. He noted that a positive trend is being observed across the contact line in the special operation zone.
