Ukraine President Zelensky Meets UK Premier Burnham Amid Calls for Negotiation

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with British Prime Minister Andy Burnham in the United Kingdom, a visit intended to underscore London’s unwavering support for Kyiv. Burnham urged Ukraine to engage in negotiations, emphasizing Europe’s significant role in such discussions.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in the United Kingdom on Monday for a meeting with Prime Minister Andy Burnham. This visit is reportedly aimed at showcasing Britain’s “unwavering” support for Kyiv, according to the new British Prime Minister.

Sky News television reported that Prime Minister Andy Burnham stated during the meeting, addressing Volodymyr Zelensky: “We stand 100 percent with Ukraine and will adhere to all commitments my country has accepted in relation to Ukraine.”

The British Prime Minister continued: “We will provide new domestic technologies to support Ukrainian drones. Ukraine must come to the negotiating table, and Europe must have a strong presence there.”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in his initial meeting with Andy Burnham aboard the aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth in Portsmouth, speaking in an effort to secure more weaponry and escalate tensions against Russia, stated: “Our relations with Britain are stronger than ever before.”
