Iraqi Coalition Leader Warns Against Trusting US, Cites Need for Arms Control Review

A leading figure in Iraq’s State of Law Coalition has declared that the United States cannot be trusted, emphasizing the continued need for resistance weaponry to protect against occupation and terrorism. The coalition leader also called for a review of arms monopoly in the country.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a leading figure in Iraq‘s State of Law Coalition has stressed that the issue of arms monopoly in the country requires further examination. Jassim Mohammed Jaafar stated that the weapons of resistance have historically protected Iraqis against occupiers and terrorists, and this need persists with the presence of Americans and the activation of terrorist cells.

Jaafar added that before implementing any arms monopoly measures, several issues must be resolved. He asserted that Iraq must exercise sovereignty over its airspace and land borders, and a guarantee for the protection of its people must be established, as there is absolutely no basis for trusting the Americans. He pointed to the Saudi-American attack against the positions of the Hashd al-Sha’abi forces as a warning sign, noting the observation of a Syrian, Jordanian, Emirati, and Saudi coalition against the axis of resistance, including the Hashd al-Sha’abi.

Mohammed Jaafar further clarified that this matter should be resolved free from external dictations and pressures. He concluded by stating that Iraq can never deem itself independent of a force that has supported the country against terrorists.
