Pakistan Senate Head Meets Qatari Delegation to Boost Bilateral Ties and Investment

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Senate Chairman Yousaf Raza Gilani of Pakistan welcomed a high-level Qatari delegation in Islamabad, led by Qatari businessman Nayef bin Eid Al Thani. The two sides reviewed avenues for developing bilateral relations and existing investment opportunities between the two countries.
Gilani emphasized during the meeting that the relations between Pakistan and Qatar are deep-rooted, built on shared history and culture. He further pointed to the sincere desire of both parties to elevate these relations to broader horizons.
The Senate Chairman also addressed regional and Islamic matters, highlighting the significance of the ‘Mecca Agreement’ and its prominent role in strengthening integration, peace, and stability among Islamic countries to confront current challenges.
In response, the Qatari official praised Pakistan’s role in fostering peace, dialogue, regional growth, and cooperation. He lauded the Mecca Agreement and expressed hope that it would contribute to achieving greater stability, security, and unity within the Islamic world.
The Qatari delegation demonstrated a particular interest in exploring investment opportunities in Pakistan, underscoring the importance of further strengthening bilateral ties through trade, investment, and mutual cooperation.
