European Pressure Mounts on Greece and Spain Over Ukraine Arms Aid

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, European officials are poised to increase pressure on nations that have not significantly contributed to supplying interceptor missiles for Ukraine. This comes as reported by Politico, citing an anonymous EU diplomat.

Upcoming meetings of European officials, scheduled for early September in Ireland, will focus on countries with substantial gaps in their provision of critical military hardware. Politico specifically identified Greece and Spain as European nations that are expected to face scrutiny and potential reprimand for their lack of supplied interceptor missiles to Ukraine.

Earlier statements from Russia indicated that Ukraine’s ability to sustain its military operations would be limited to approximately four months if Western financial and arms support were to cease. Moscow maintains that Western financial and military assistance to Ukraine is prolonging the conflict, with the perceived aim of weakening Russia.
