Israel Cites Lebanon’s Military Ineffectiveness as Pretext to Halt Negotiations

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israel is using perceived ineffectiveness of the Lebanese army as a pretext to potentially halt negotiations with the Lebanese government. The Israeli military’s Chief of Staff, Eyal Zamir, leveraging repeated concessions from the Lebanese government, asserted that the progress of the agreement between Israel and Lebanon would not be possible if the Lebanese army is not effective in its operations.
Israeli Minister of War, Israel Katz, also stated that following the destruction of facilities in the Al-Tahir heights, Israel now possesses a more secure and robust area to consolidate its control and threaten Hezbollah deep within Lebanon. Recent field developments reported by Lebanese sources indicated that the occupying army carried out intense artillery shelling on the Al-Tahir heights surrounding Nabatiyeh al-Fawqa in southern Lebanon.
