France Urges Israel to Withdraw Troops from Syrian Territory

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced its demand for the withdrawal of Israeli soldiers from Syrian soil and its support for a security agreement between Syria and Israel. This was reported by Mehr News Agency, citing Al Jazeera.

In its statement, the French ministry, while seemingly overlooking years of support from Paris and its European allies for the actions of the occupying regime against the Palestinian people, declared that any military deployment in the buffer zone along the Syrian border would constitute a violation of the 1974 ceasefire agreement.

The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that Paris reiterates its full support for the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) in Syria and stressed that the security of these forces must be maintained.

This statement from the French Foreign Ministry was issued days after the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime and his war minister made a controversial visit to the Mount Hermon area in southern Syria.
