UAE Offers to Host Russia-US-Ukraine Peace Talks in Abu Dhabi

The United Arab Emirates has announced its readiness to host trilateral peace negotiations between Russia, the United States, and Ukraine in Abu Dhabi, a proposal that Moscow has deemed ‘completely acceptable.’ Russian officials suggest that territorial agreements could expedite a resolution to the ongoing crisis.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the United Arab Emirates has declared its willingness to serve as the host for tripartite negotiations involving Russia, the United States, and Ukraine in its capital, Abu Dhabi. Russia has responded positively to this offer, describing it as “completely acceptable.”

Yury Ushakov, an aide to the Russian President, stated that reaching an agreement on territorial issues could facilitate the negotiation process aimed at resolving the Ukraine crisis. He also noted that parties must still come to terms on several other matters beyond territorial concerns.

Ushakov further elaborated that the UAE is prepared to provide the platform for these trilateral discussions in Abu Dhabi, a venue that Russia considers suitable for the talks. He also indicated that American officials have gained a better understanding of Russia’s positions following extensive discussions with Vladimir Putin.

Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesperson, expressed hope for an upcoming trilateral meeting between Russia, the United States, and Ukraine in the near future. He emphasized that no new proposals for resolving the Ukraine crisis have been put forth recently, and such a meeting could offer an opportunity to explore existing options.

Jared Kushner, son-in-law of the US President, had previously commented that Washington is seeking a resolution acceptable to both Russian and Ukrainian parties. He added that Russia has clearly defined its objectives, but Ukraine is currently unwilling to accept Moscow’s conditions.
