Iraqi Political Activist Alleges Ukraine Involved in Saudi Pipeline Attack

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Ali Al-Fatlawi, a member of the Al-Wafa movement affiliated with the Prosperity and Development Alliance, stated that Ukraine was implicated in an attack on a Saudi oil pipeline that passed through Iraqi territory. He suggested that this action was an attempt to instigate direct conflict between Baghdad and Riyadh.

Al-Fatlawi further indicated that Iraqi security forces had previously seized drones bearing Ukrainian insignia. He posited that such an attack would benefit the United States, as targeting Saudi Arabia could position America as Europe’s sole energy provider.

The political activist also did not rule out the involvement of the Israeli regime in the incident.

Earlier, Qassim Al-Araji, Iraq’s National Security Advisor, had announced that groups affiliated with Ukraine were active within Iraq and had carried out several sabotage operations.

Iraqi military affairs expert Abdulkarim Khalaf commented that the attack was executed using advanced equipment, which resistance groups within Iraq do not possess at that level. He asserted that the nature of the attack favored the United States and Israel. Khalaf added that if Iraqi groups had intended to carry out such an operation, they would have utilized a location in Basra, which is only 600 kilometers from the target.
