Russia to Hold Elections Amidst Military Conflicts, Says Medvedev

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Dmitry Medvedev, the leader of the United Russia party and Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia, stated on Wednesday that the upcoming elections in Russia are taking place at a complex, important, and historic juncture. Medvedev emphasized that Russia will conduct its elections despite military conflicts, unlike its adversaries. He noted that for the first time, the election campaign in Russia is unfolding under conditions of full-scale military conflicts and offensives targeting the nation. The Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council further added that Russian citizens will make a strategic and valuable choice in the upcoming elections that will determine Russia’s development path. He asserted that a decisive victory for the United Russia party in the Duma elections would be the best response to Russia’s enemies.
