Yemen Downs Saudi F-15 Fighter Jet Over Marib, Releases Footage

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Yemeni sources have released images showing the moment a Saudi F-15 fighter jet was shot down and its wreckage in Marib province on September 16, 2026. Hours earlier, Yahya Saree, the spokesperson for the Yemeni armed forces, announced that his forces successfully downed a Saudi Arabian F-15 fighter jet with a domestically manufactured surface-to-air missile.

Saree further stated that the Saudi fighter was conducting an air support mission for Saudi-affiliated mercenaries. Yemeni forces engaged another F-15 and a Saudi Typhoon fighter jet within Marib’s airspace.
