Yemen Warns US, Signals Riyadh-Sana’a Standoff Consolidation

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the confrontation between Riyadh and Sana’a is a dynamic that Yemen‘s armed forces are aiming to solidify, as stated by Zeid Al-Gharasi, head of the Information Department of the Presidential Office affiliated with the Sana’a government. Speaking to Al Mayadeen, Al-Gharasi emphasized that targeting Saudi Arabia’s capital conveys the message that Yemeni forces can reach any point within the kingdom’s geography. He further suggested that future actions could involve closing Saudi airspace or targeting oil facilities.

Al-Gharasi added that the capabilities of Yemen’s armed forces have significantly advanced in missile and drone technology, enhancing the intensity, accuracy, and destructive power of their attacks. He asserted that if the Saudi regime continues its provocative actions, it must bear full responsibility for the consequences.

Al-Gharasi clarified that the lifting of the Saudi blockade is contingent upon the lifting of the blockade on Yemen, a stance that will not change even with international consensus. He noted that Yemeni forces are concentrating their attacks on Saudi military bases and vital economic infrastructure belonging to Aramco. He also stated that there is no connection between Yemen’s blockade of Saudi Arabia and the conflict involving Iran, as Saudi aggressions and the blockade of Yemen predated the war against Iran.

Furthermore, Al-Gharasi issued a warning to the United States, urging caution regarding any violations of the ceasefire with Yemen, stating that Yemen will not remain silent in the face of any aggression.
