Moktada al-Sadr Demands US Military Withdrawal from Iraq by September 30

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Moktada al-Sadr, the leader of the Sadrist Movement in Iraq, has stressed that the American side must align with the national will and demands of Iraq, asserting that such compliance would benefit Iraq, the United States, and the entire world.

Al-Sadr stated that Iraq awaits the September 30 deadline for the withdrawal of American forces and the international coalition. He expressed hope that this departure will not herald the beginning of further foreign interventions in Iraq’s internal affairs or compromise the nation’s sovereignty and independence.

The Iraqi politician emphasized that Iraqi politicians should refrain from repeating mistaken requests for American intervention. He posited that Iraq is capable of defending itself using its heroic security forces, particularly the border guards and air force, independently of internal ethnic and sectarian conflicts.

Al-Sadr concluded by asserting that the Iraqi people are vigilant regarding these matters and are united against any foreign intervention. He declared that this date will mark the beginning of Iraq’s prosperity and the end of all corruption, injustice, dictatorship, occupation, and terrorism.
