Israel Claims Hamas Financial Official Killed in Khan Younis Strike
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and War Minister Yoav Gallant have claimed that Mohammed Abuallwan, identified as the individual responsible for Hamas’s financial affairs, was killed in an Israeli strike in Khan Younis. This announcement comes amid an existing ceasefire established in October 2025, which stipulates the cessation of military operations.
In a joint statement released via the Israeli Prime Minister’s official account on the social media platform X, Netanyahu and Gallant commended the Israeli military and its internal intelligence service for what they described as a “precise operation.”
Earlier reports, citing information from Nasser Medical Complex, indicated that at least two individuals were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a vehicle in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Younis. It remains unconfirmed whether this incident is the same one referenced by Netanyahu. Additionally, one Palestinian was injured by Israeli forces’ gunfire in northern Khan Younis.
Further reports from the Gaza Strip detail another fatality in a drone attack targeting a refugee camp in the northeast of Gaza City. Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital also reported the death of a woman after being shot by Israeli forces in the Al-Bureij refugee camp.
