US Senator Sanders Denounces Trump’s Threats Against Iran as War Crime

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders emphasized in a social media post that the annihilation of the Iranian people, as threatened by President Donald Trump, constitutes a war crime and a barbaric action that the United States should have no involvement in whatsoever.

Sanders stated, “No, Mr. President, we should not annihilate the people of Iran. This is a war crime and a barbaric act.”

He further asserted that any U.S. aggression against Iran would be illegal, and Congress should intervene immediately to end such a conflict and take the necessary steps.

President Trump had previously stated during a session of the United Nations General Assembly that a major decision regarding Iran needed to be made, either signing a significant deal or destroying the country.
