Yemen’s Armed Forces Launch New Strikes Against Saudi Targets, Escalating Regional Tensions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a national ‘Early Warning for Emergencies’ platform issued an alert regarding potential missile attacks by Yemen‘s armed forces, urging citizens and residents to adhere to official instructions upon receiving warning messages. The spokesperson for the coalition claimed that aerial interceptions thwarted attempts to target the cities of Taif and Yanbu. The statement emphasized that escalating tensions and repeated violations by Yemeni forces would be met with a decisive response.

The statement stressed the importance of maintaining calm, following official directives, immediately proceeding to a safe interior location within buildings (preferably an inner room away from windows and glass), and remaining there until the danger has passed. Individuals were also advised not to leave their homes or buildings before the all-clear, and to avoid open spaces, rooftops, and balconies. If outdoors, it was recommended to proceed to the nearest safe building or shelter, avoid gatherings and dangerous areas, and refrain from filming events.

This comes as Hazam Al-Assad, a senior Ansar Allah official, alluded to missile attacks by Yemen’s armed forces against Saudi military bases and Aramco facilities in a social media message, posting the hashtag ‘tension for tension’ and questioning what was happening inside Saudi military bases and Aramco facilities. Earlier, some news sources reported missile attacks by Yemen’s Ansar Allah forces against Saudi positions, stating that Saudi Arabia’s economic interests in various regions, including the port of Yanbu, were the primary targets of these attacks. Tabuk, Taif, and Jeddah were also among the areas targeted in these assaults.
