South Africa Rocked by Two Mass Shootings, Claiming 27 Lives

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, South Africa experienced two devastating mass shootings on Sunday, with at least 27 individuals killed and 11 others wounded. The South African Police Service reported that one attack occurred at a nightclub in Johannesburg, where 17 people lost their lives. Police stated that assailants initially fired upon individuals outside the venue before entering the establishment and continuing their assault on patrons inside. Reports indicate the attackers were armed with AK-47 assault rifles and handguns. Before fleeing the scene in two unidentified vehicles, the assailants reportedly searched some individuals and took their mobile phones. Two vehicles were also set ablaze during this incident.

In a separate incident that took place early Sunday morning in Lwandle, a township near Cape Town, 10 people were killed by gunfire, and 11 others sustained injuries. Police official reports indicate that armed individuals entered a local entertainment center around 1:46 AM and opened fire on customers. Five individuals died at the scene, while five more succumbed to their injuries after being transported to medical facilities. Additionally, 11 other individuals are currently receiving treatment for their wounds.
