US Opposes West Bank Annexation, Demands Hamas Disarmament

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the United States has reiterated its opposition to Israel’s annexation of the West Bank, while also emphasizing the necessity of disarming Hamas and removing the group from any governance role in Gaza. The statements were made by the Deputy U.S. Representative to the United Nations Security Council during a session focused on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

During the international forum, the U.S. official presented assertions regarding the situation, alleging that Hamas must be disarmed and should not participate in the administration of Gaza. In a response that appeared largely rhetorical to the actions of Israeli forces in Palestinian territories, the Deputy U.S. Representative urged the United Nations to support the activities of the “Peace Council” and the “National Committee for the Administration of Gaza.” The United States’ stance against the annexation of the West Bank by Israel was clearly stated.

Furthermore, the U.S. representative asserted that all United Nations member states should cooperate with Israel in the effort to disarm Hamas.
