Jordanian King Urges Comprehensive Regional De-escalation in Call with U.S. Secretary of State

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, King Abdullah II of Jordan has called for a comprehensive agreement to de-escalate tensions in the region and guarantee the security and sovereignty of Arab countries. The appeal was made during a telephone conversation with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, as reported by Al Jazeera.
A statement released by the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated that the King underscored what he described as the “pivotal role of the United States” in supporting regional stability. This emphasis was a key point in his discussion with the U.S. Secretary of State.
Furthermore, the King referenced the outcomes of the latest round of Aqaba meetings, recently held in France. These meetings were convened with the objective of mobilizing international support for the Lebanese army to maintain the country’s security and stability.
