Landslide in India and Nepal Kills Dozens + Video
Torrential rains triggered deadly landslides in India,swallowing numerous homes and displacing many residents,according to webangah News Agency.
The agency reported that at least 18 people died in India due to the landslides caused by intense rainfall.
According to reports, houses, roads, and bridges were destroyed by the debris flows.
A local resident from the flood-affected area told reporters: “The entire central part of our village was devastated by floods and landslides. The bodies of seven people have been recovered from mud inside a house.”
Severe rainfall also caused significant damage in West Bengal state.
Meanwhile, Nepal’s National Disaster Management spokesperson confirmed that at least 43 people have died and five others remain missing following heavy rains there.
