Qatar Emphasizes Peaceful Resolution and Dialogue in Regional Diplomacy

Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, discussed bilateral cooperation and mediation efforts between the United States and Iran during a call with his Swiss counterpart, Ignazio Cassis. Both sides underscored the importance of peaceful dialogue and a stable agreement to de-escalate tensions.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Qatar‘s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, received a phone call from Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis on Monday. The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation and explored avenues to support ongoing mediation efforts, specifically the mediation undertaken by Pakistan between the United States and Iran. The two ministers reviewed initiatives aimed at bolstering current mediation efforts to reduce regional tensions, thereby contributing to enhanced security and stability in the region. The Qatari Foreign Minister stressed the necessity for all parties to engage constructively with the present mediation endeavors. He emphasized that resolving the root causes of crises through peaceful means and dialogue is paramount to achieving a sustainable agreement and preventing any resurgence of tensions.
