Pakistan PM Sharif Details Islamabad Accord Signing Between US and Iran

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has revealed details of the memorandum of understanding signed between the United States and Iran, facilitated by Islamabad’s mediation. The agreement reportedly includes immediate actions from both nations regarding the Strait of Hormuz and maritime sanctions.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has elaborated on the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the presidents of the United States and Iran, stating that he had approved it as a mediator. Sharif emphasized that the Islamabad-brokered understanding would be immediately implemented.

In the initial phase, Iran will promptly reopen the Strait of Hormuz, while the United States will directly lift its maritime blockade. The Prime Minister of Pakistan also expressed gratitude for Qatar’s role in advancing this agreement, specifically acknowledging the sincere efforts and constructive participation of Qatar’s leadership in reaching this milestone.

Furthermore, Sharif claimed that U.S. President Donald Trump’s commitment to diplomacy and his preference for peaceful solutions contributed to the resolution of this conflict.
