Pakistan Accuses India of Supporting Terrorist Groups Operating from Afghanistan

Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry has strongly rejected India’s accusations regarding anti-terrorist actions, asserting that New Delhi actively supports militant groups launching operations against Islamabad from Afghan soil, a claim that contravenes UN Security Council sanctions.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Pakistan has vehemently refuted statements made by India’s Ministry of External Affairs concerning Pakistan’s legitimate anti-terrorism measures within Afghanistan. In a response to media inquiries regarding Islamabad’s stance on the Indian statement, Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Tahir Andrabi, declared that the ministry rejects the “baseless” Indian assertion about Pakistan’s “legitimate, targeted, and proportionate actions” against terrorist infrastructure in Afghanistan.

The Pakistani Foreign Ministry further criticized the Indian statement as unreasonable, highlighting India’s alleged historical record of interfering with and undermining the sovereignty and territorial integrity of its neighboring countries, in violation of the UN Charter. The statement also pointed to India’s continued suppression of the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, defying relevant UN resolutions.

Moreover, the ministry accused India of actively providing financial and material support to terrorist groups that operate against Pakistan from Afghan territory. Pakistan contends that this support constitutes a violation of United Nations Security Council sanctions. Islamabad urged that such baseless accusations and provocative statements directed against Pakistan should not be given credence, affirming that it undertakes all appropriate actions to safeguard the security and safety of its citizens in accordance with international law.
