Lebanese President Joseph Aoun: Negotiation is a Bloodless Battle

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, based on data published by Mehr News Agency, quoting Al-Nahar, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun said: The framework agreement does not legitimize the presence and survival of the Israeli occupation in Lebanon. Instead, it explicitly empowers the Lebanese army to extend its control and sovereignty over the entire territory of the country.
He added: Our sovereign decision to separate Lebanon’s path from the interactions between Iran and the United States has become a problem for some individuals accustomed to always being under the shadow of foreign guardianship to control them, make decisions on their behalf, and bargain over them!
He further stated: We are a democratic country and respect freedom of expression and opinion, but there are red lines such as attempts to create sedition or overthrow the government in the streets, which are not permissible to cross.
President Aoun said: True power does not lie in the ability to start a war or guarantee its continuation, but in the courage to end it through dialogue and negotiation, because negotiation itself is a bloodless battle!
Referring to the position of the Lebanese armed forces, he said: No one doubts the role and position of the army, and the army will assume its full responsibility in achieving security and stability in the south of the country after the withdrawal of Israeli forces.
