Pakistan Urges Restraint from Iran and U.S. Amid Escalating Regional Tensions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan issued a statement today, Wednesday, expressing profound concern over the recent tensions in the region. The ministry emphasized that a resumption of conflicts would not benefit anyone.
The statement addressed Washington’s recent actions in the region, including alleged incursions into Iranian territory and violations of a bilateral understanding. Pakistan, which previously mediated a memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States, called on both parties to exercise self-restraint and refrain from any actions that could jeopardize regional peace and stability.
The Pakistani Foreign Ministry further highlighted that dialogue, communication, and diplomacy are indispensable for achieving peace in the region. The statement urged both sides to adhere to their commitments under the “Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.”
