Guardian Council Praises Joint Iranian-Iraqi Mourning for Martyred Leader

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Guardian Council has expressed its sincere gratitude for the massive, enthusiastic, and informed presence of the esteemed people of Iran and Iraq during the farewell and funeral ceremonies for the “Martyred Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.” The council lauded this participation as a clear manifestation of faithful nations adhering to the ideals of the Islamic Revolution and the path of honor and resistance.
The statement highlighted that the Iranian nation, during the sorrowful days following the loss of its “leader, mujahid, and sage,” demonstrated its unwavering commitment to the principles of the Islamic Revolution and the values championed by Imam Khomeini (RA) and the “martyred leader’s” clear path. This resilience, the council noted, prevents adversaries from exploiting tragic events and crimes to undermine national resolve or sever the bond between the nation and the Islamic Revolution.
The extensive public attendance at the farewell and funeral events underscored the Iranian people’s steadfastness in pursuing a course of honor, independence, resistance, and progress—a path dedicated by the “martyred leader” throughout his life. This historic send-off, the Guardian Council stated, signifies that the martyrdom of divine leaders and sincere servants of the people does not halt this journey but rather strengthens resolve and ensures continuity of the path forged through struggle, wisdom, and sacrifice.
The Guardian Council also warmly acknowledged the significant participation of the Iraqi people in the ceremonies for the “Martyred Leader,” appreciating their faithful and fraternal solidarity. This shared experience, the council emphasized, reaffirms the strong and lasting ties between Iran and Iraq, built upon shared beliefs, history, and common experiences of resistance against the enemies of the Islamic Ummah.
This exceptional turnout, the statement continued, once again nullified the enemy’s calculations to disrupt national cohesion and weaken the Iranian people’s resolve. It demonstrated that the Iranian nation and its accompanying Ummah, despite the profound grief of losing their leader, will remain steadfast in the path of guardianship, law, and jihad, continuing the journey of honor and resistance with even greater determination.
The Guardian Council concluded by extending its sincere appreciation to all organizations, institutions, executive bodies, law enforcement, security agencies, relief services, media outlets, religious groups, organizers, popular groups, and all officials and individuals who, with a sense of responsibility, sincerity, and dedication, facilitated the dignified staging of these grand ceremonies in Iran and Iraq. The council believes this massive, epic, and historic participation, along with this valuable solidarity, has become an enduring asset for strengthening national cohesion, consolidating the Islamic Republic’s authority, and continuing the path of honor, resistance, and the lofty ideals of the Islamic Revolution.
The Guardian Council prayed for the honorable soul of the “Martyred Leader” and all martyrs of this path to be resurrected with prophets and the truthful, and for the esteemed nations of Iran and Iraq to be granted increasing honor, steadfastness, and success.
