Israel Boosts Security for Leaders Amid Assassination Threat Reports

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli ministers and top officials have been alerted by the Mossad intelligence service about possible assassination plots targeting them. The Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth reported that a general warning was issued to current and former leaders concerning the threat of being targeted. In response, the Shin Bet security agency has intensified security protection for Israeli leaders and advised them to alter their daily routines and implement stringent precautionary measures.

This heightened alert signifies a state of maximum readiness within Israel’s security apparatus. In conjunction with these warnings, Tel Aviv’s intelligence agencies rerouted the flight path of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s aircraft to Washington D.C. from Ben Gurion Airport to the Nevatim airbase. Highly classified security protocols were enforced regarding take-off times and flight routes.

Meanwhile, in the United States, increased security measures are being implemented due to growing threats against American and Israeli figures. The New York Times revealed on July 9th that the U.S. Secret Service advised Donald Trump to utilize the older “Air Force One” aircraft for his travel from Turkey as a security precaution, rather than a newer plane donated by Qatar. The Wall Street Journal later reported that this aircraft swap occurred after U.S. officials received intelligence from Tel Aviv concerning a potential plot to assassinate Trump.
